Like emotional anxiety, relentless infection, blood loss, unexpected high fevers, crash diets, deficiencies of certain Vitamins or even certain drugs can be responsible for Alopecia. As some of these are unavoidable for a man so it is really hard to fight against Alopecia. On the other hand chemotherapy and radiation (on the area of treatment) which are sometimes become indispensible for a person in order to cure his disease are harmful for hair and as a consequence results the hair fall and in most cases baldness.

Alopecia cannot be prevented if it caused by genetics. But there are ways to fight with Alopecia if it has caused by external factor. There are so many examples where the fall of hair has reduces or even stopped with proper treatment. Proper and balance diet is very important to fight against alopecia as experts has proved that deficiency of vitamin A and E can stimulate the process of hair fall. Trans fats are also harmful for the hair. Some hormones are responsible for hair growth like ‘testosterone’. So deficiency of these hormones can result Alopecia. So hormone therapy can be helpful in this regards.

Medication

There are also other medicines available for hair fall treatment of different types like steroids and antifungal. Finasteride is an oral pill. It stimulates the testosterone to dihydrotestostrone (DHT). DHT actually causes balding.  The result can be seen before six to eight months after taking these pills regularly at least one gram per day.
